LOUIS XIII at Changi airport from 1st sept 2019
September 2019

AN EXCLUSIVE NEW POP-UP AT CHANGI AIRPORT, SINGAPORE

Experience with LOUIS XIII at Changi Airport in Singapore. From September 2019, the world’s leading multi-dimensional airport will play host to a stream of LOUIS XIII firsts: a series of exclusive unveilings and special events in all four terminals. A perpetually moving showcase inspired by the design of LOUIS XIII cognac’s four boutiques, the 40m2 space invites travelers to take time out to discover the journey of LOUIS XIII from the depths of the chalky terroir to the master copper stills, from the rare oak ageing tierçons to the LOUIS XIII decanters.

Discover the LOUIS XIII Wheel, an interactive circle of light that brings the ageing process to life in a spectrum of cognac shades. Marvel at the Mathusalem, a work of art signed by LOUIS XIII Cellar Master Baptiste Loiseau that requires up to 20 master glass makers to produce. Explore the LOUIS XIII CELEBRATION COFFRETS, exclusive, personalized coffrets to celebrate every special moment in life, and savor a unique introduction to an aged eaux-de-vie through LE CLOUD: an innovative and poetic design technology that produces a cloud of cognac vapors for an unforgettable visual and olfactive experience.

To celebrate the launch of this unprecedented pop-up, LOUIS XIII will be showcasing one of its treasured tierçons. Today, the finest eaux de vie from Grande Champagne are slowly ageing in these centennial casks to create LOUIS XIII cognac. Handmade out of wide-grained oak from the Limousin forests of France and passed down from one generation to the next, they play a critical role in the aromatic development of LOUIS XIII cognac and are an invaluable part of the heritage of the House. From 1st September 2019, one of these ancient heirlooms will travel around the world and be displayed in LOUIS XIII boutiques, starting with the pop-up at Changi Airport…
